About George Saltmarsh
We are currently allowed to operate under Stage 4 restrictions with a COVID plan, permits for our volunteers and all necessary safety precautions. This does mean that we are even slower than usual at responding. Please be patient and stay safe.

Meet George. George is a lovely gentleman with plenty of life and love to give. He is an exceptional cat who adores human company and affection. He is very relaxed and likes to snuggle with you but isn’t needy and is happy to spend time on his own also. George can take a little time to warm up to you but he is very loving and sweet once he settles. All it takes to win his heart is plenty of love, a warm home and a good meal.
Sadly George lost his best cat friend recently and has had to adapt to life without his pal. A safe home with a loving, affectionate family is exactly what this boy needs and deserves.
As an older cat, George is very laid back. He will happily spend his days lying on the window seat with sun coming through the window, purring loudly. Do you have what it takes to give George the relaxing and secure retirement he deserves?
Please note: our cats are not available for interstate adoption. We also do not adopt to people under the age of 25 years.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
