About Anzac
Anzac is a very special boy to us and we are looking for a very special home for him. He does have some anxiety related issues, but he truly has a heart as big as Pharlap.
Anzac has had a difficult life to date but he is such a fighter, he overcome Parvo Virus as a puppy, he has faced many challenges and uncertain circumstances, but yet he continues to love. He wants nothing more that a stable forever home, someone to shower his affection on, someone to trust.
Anzac needs a confident, loving owner who is home most of the time. You will need very high fencing as he will go looking for you if you don’t. He is terrified of thunderstorms but is crate trained and finds comfort in his crate during storms. He is scared of loud noises and afraid of any high energy dogs and will display fear aggression to warn them off. Anzac has commenced anxiety medication to help him deal with everyday life.
Our hearts are breaking for this boy, he deserves a secure home, he loves to cuddle and is a big couch potato. He does like going on walks and loves to sniff everything along the way, he needs to feel like his owner has his back at all times so he feels safe.
It has been a struggle for him to keep weight on due to going off food when he becomes overwhelmed or stressed. When he truly feels safe he comes out of his shell and has such a funny, gentle, and loving personality. He is a protector of his home and will warn you of any strangers outside.
Anzac will need to be an only animal in the home and have an owner that is willing to provide him with guidance, boundries and loads of cuddles and attention. Ideally a home in the Bendigo region to continue working with his current vet unless you can convince us we cant go past the home you have to offer elsewhere.
A condition of our adoption agreement is that all dogs adopted from Chally MUST be put through obedience training, if you cannot meet this commitment please do not apply. All our dogs deserve the chance to be the very best they can be and we will choose homes that will ensure this is the case.

** Only applications submitted via this link will be considered **
Our adoption process is as follows:
1) Animal is listed on PetRescue
2) Applications are received
3) The application which we feel offers the best-suited home to the pet is contacted for first preference of a meet and greet to see if they 'click' with the animal.
We do not follow a first-in, first-served process and only consider applications completed via our online form.
Due the popularity of some dogs - and the fact that our rescue is run entirely by volunteers - we cannot guarantee that all unsuccessful applicants will be notified, however we will do our best.
