Carlos

Carlos is the sweetest, most gentle and loving dog once you get to know him and he gets to trust you. He has had a troubled past and this, combined with his sensitive nature, makes him a timid lad. Mostly he has problems with trusting males. Carlos loves to play with gentle, little dogs but his biggest need is for a person who will be around a lot with a willing lap as the affection he gets is rewarded tenfold. He particularly likes to cuddle up at night in someone's nice warm bed. Carlos is house trained, doesn't chew anything, rarely barks at all and in general is a pretty happy chap around the house or lying in the warmth of the sun. His coat is short and doesn't shed and there are very few grooming needs. He does need a nice snugly coat for the winter though. Carlos has a good appetite and is learning his 'eating in a group' manners. There are no health issues or problems and he is a toy sized boy with a beautiful chihuahua face, longer legs, a slightly longer body and bigger ears. Carlos needs a quieter home (he is scared of raised voices) with no children and ideally no males. There is a chance that further down the track he will get better with his trust issues, but at this stage he is still shaking at the sight of a male and it would be unkind to expose him in that way. Carlos would really suit a retired person or someone who works from home or part time and has another small, gentle dog for company. He will need a patient person to help him grow in confidence - something which will happen - and he will give so much back. Please note carlos can only be rehomed within nsw.
