About Leo
Hi there my name is Leo:
I am a cute little man, I know, but I am a very high energy dog. Having a lot of time set aside for me is ideal, so that means I would really prefer to be in a home with someone home often. I am really good at enrichment feeding and puzzles, so please ask the staff on how to keep me busy while you are away from me. I will be a very energetic dog who will need a lot of ongoing training and walks with my fellow family members. I will need to work on a few basic things being a puppy; like meeting strangers and dogs appropriately, not jumping up ( because I LOVE to do that) and most importantly, not to play with my humans using my mouth ( I forget that one all the time in my excitement).
Being a young dog, I have not had a lot of socialising here at the shelter, and would need a lot of help to make sure I am comfortable with other dogs and animals. So far, I have quite a fearful response and do a lot of barking, which tends to scare my fellow canines. The staff here though are working on some fun games with me to like my fellow canines, so these games may be fun for you and I to work on at home?
If I sound like the right type of dog for you and your family, please come out and meet me with an appointment.
Please understand, that I would cope better in a home with kids over the age of 12 years old, and if I had a lot of space to run around in; so unfortunately I will be a bit too much for an apartment, a terrace or a granny flat living.
All AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, health checked, vaccinated, wormed and flea treated.
If you are interested in adopting me, please email us today on kempscreek@awlnsw.com.au or give us a call to arrange a meet and greet on 8777 4445.
