King Louis is a wonderful companion with a lot of love to give. He is a happy, alert dog who is always very inquisitive and keen to be involved in what you are doing. His friendly nature is great with children, strangers, penned chickens and he plays well with people and other dogs. King Louis is suited for owners who can provide a lot of companionship and activities to keep his keen mind sharp. He has not been tested with cats.

King Louis has had some solid training. He sits, drops, shakes hands and eats gently from the hand. He will happily let you wipe his paws and loves a belly rub. Continuing his training is essential to help him become a well mannered family member, he does still jump and sometimes mouth and may sneak a thing or two off the benches. His toilet training has been coming along but he has not yet mastered to only go outside. He has displayed tendencies common to young dogs such as chewing and digging when feeling left alone, despite having another canine companion whilst in foster care. King Louis doesn't always like to share attention or food, so if there is another dog in residence he will need help learning how to be a team player.

King Louis is an active boy, he loves exercise and calmly meets other dogs. He will sit down when told to stop at intersections and knows how to heel but will benefit from furthering his schooling. His intelligence and response to positive reinforcement and time-out training have shown further learning will be a pleasant and great bonding experience in his new home.
