About Occy
Okay the time has come for myself Occy to find my furever home .
I am looking for someone that likes to go on walks, play ball and loves tug a war, that is the best fun ever
I will always let you know when someone is at the door or around the house. When your friends come over I will talk to them until they say hello to me or pat me, just manners really 😀
I will always be close by, so you will never not know we’re I am.
I’m super happy when sitting with you on the couch, I just might need a hand up.
I really like to be apart of what’s going on
I am toilet trained and love visiting my friends at the vet clinic.
I’m fine with being the only dog but if you have cats or another dog I’m good with them too.
Children are fine just please don’t let them pick me up I kinda don’t like that. I love kids that pat me lots.
Okay so if you think that your ready for a little Occy in your world hit me up 🤍 peace out
Medical notes
Occy came to us back in February quite overweight at 8.4kgs and has been working hard to trim down. He’s now down to 6.7kg and will need to continue his daily walks and watching what he eats. He has arthritis in both hind legs, and he is currently taking a daily joint supplement - we recommend Osteocare Joint Chews, half a chew daily. The weight loss also helps take some pressure off his legs.
Occy has been diagnosed with Cushings disease and we’ve managed to control this well with a once daily dose of Trilostane medication. He has 0.7ml once daily, and a 100ml bottle costs $110 from the compounding pharmacy + prescription fee from vet, so it’s around $1 a day to keep him feeling great. Dogs can still live long healthy lives as long as the Cushings is managed with medication, and regular ACTH Stim tests at the vet.
He had a dental scale and polish in April and had two teeth extracted. He is up to date with his C5 vaccination, heart worm, intestinal worm, flea and tick prevention.
