About Ariel
Ariel is a sweet natured 2 year and 4 month old female Sphynx cat with little tuffs of soft velvet fur who is looking for her forever home.
Ariel while young is a little old lady at heart who loves nothing more than cuddles on the lap, curling up in blankets for a nap and laying near windows in the sun keeping warm.
Ariel did come into care needing lots of TLC and as such is nervous of new surroundings for a little bit, but once she is comfortable and feels secure her beautiful personality starts to come out. She likes to hide and snuggle in a cat cave when she needs a rest.
Whilst Ariel does like to snuggle with other cats (she is currently in care with other cats) she also tires of them and likes to have her own space. Ariel would prefer a home that is quiet with plenty of cuddle time.
Ariel is currently in a foster home with older quiet dogs and she seems ok with this, but would not do well with any dogs who might chase her or bark at her as it would make her very nervous.
Once Ariel feels comfortable she will bond very quickly with her humans, she is extremely affectionate and loving and just wants to be part of the family.
She would be fine in a home with children as long as they respect her boundaries and like most cats she isn’t afraid to give a little hiss if she feels threatened
She is litter box trained.
Ariel does have some little tuffs on her but they will fall out just like a normal cat (but please note this means that she will shed).
Ariel is also on a raw diet and this is something that would be a must in her new home.
Ariel is an absolute delight to have around and full of love (she is absolutely adored by her foster mum and dad)
Medical notes
Despite a bald body, a Sphynx requires at least as much grooming as cats with fur and maybe even more.
Their skin must be kept moisturized with a gentle, scent-free lotion or oil, and they need weekly baths so as not to leave greasy spots on your furniture and clothing.
Use a gentle baby shampoo or moisturizing shampoo and rinse thoroughly, especially between the folds of the wrinkles. Baby wipes will help to keep them clean between baths.

All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.

If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
