*ABOUT YINDI*
Yindi is the sweetest Dingo you will ever meet, she has worked very hard on her manners since arriving at the shelter and is showing lots of engagement with her handlers, and has lots of potential for the right home.
We have attempted to place Yindi into Dingo specific rescue groups to help her find the most suitable home, but with all rescues full, we are now working on finding her the best home through our shelter (plus we all very much enjoy her company!)
She is a cheeky and bright girl, who likes to keep us on our toes.
Yindi walks well on lead, but is still getting used to the idea of having her collar put on and wearing a lead, so we have special type of walking equipment we use to keep her safe.
Yindi is very affectionate for a Dingo, she loves to meet new people, although she can be slightly nervous if a male visitor walks up to her enclosure abrubptly and stares her down. She prefers a gentle approach, and she will be your best friend.
We are currently working on Yindi's mouthing when she gets excited, and we are noticing lots of improvement, but her new owners will need to keep up with her training.
Yindi has a high prey drive, so will not be suitable for a home with pocket pets all small dogs - Yindi gets along well with medium+ sized dogs, but finds smaller dogs too stimulating.
Yindi likes to play rough with other dogs, she is also very quick and sneaky! So she would be best suited to a dog who will be able to keep up with her! (please call the shelter on 4868 1520 before bringing in your dog for a meet and greet)
PLEASE NOTE: Yindi is a beautiful girl, but she requires a special and experienced home. We will be taking our time with applications to ensure we find a suitable match for her.
