About Jesse
This gorgeous boy is good with people, and very friendly. In these winter months he becomes especially snuggly, wanting to be on and in your lap, and in the summer you’ll find him belly up, enjoying the sun. The only thing Jesse loves more than the sun is FOOD! He will need to have his food measured and not left out. Free feeding is not the way to go with Jesse or he’ll become a very chunky boy (he's just under the 9kg mark at the moment)!
Jesse would be well suited to a household with kids, as long as they are old enough to know not to pull his tail - he's not a fan of that and we can't blame him! He has never lived with a dog before so isn't sure what they are all about. He has lived with cats and they aren’t a problem for Jesse as long as he is the one calling the shots - he is the boss after all. Slow introductions with other felines are recommended as he might become a bit grumpy if other cats roam around outside HIS home - that’s just him being protective of his humans.
A lover of cat toys, you’ll get him playing with any toy on a string. He's particularly a sucker for ‘Da Bird’. Don’t bother with a laser pointer though, he’s not silly and know's it's you so won't fall for that trick!
He is not an escapee, but if he's running to hide from a loud noise, he doesn't like to be followed or touched - he will come back when he is ready and is just in need of a little alone time. A bit anxious in new places, as soon as he feels that he rules the roost, Jesse will be back to his cool, calm and collected self.
If you want a lap companion, Jesse is the one for you!
Jesse's adoption is an assisted adoption via the PetRescue Home2Home program.
Medical notes
Jesse has minor skin allergies associated with grains, so will require grain-free food, but otherwise is a healthy and happy chappy!
