About Shumai
Shumai is a young Ragdoll who is extremely affectionate. He responds to everyone who meets him and just loves being the centre of attention.
After going through his health check we found that Shumai has a heart murmur grade 4/6. Heart murmurs are fairly common in cats but as a further precaution we also took blood tests. The good news is they showed no damage to his heart, no heart disease and he requires no medication. Just to be on the safe side though, whoever adopts him, needs to commit to having regular blood tests done every 6-12 months.
You wouldn't know that Shumai has this condition as he is a cat with a great zest for life and love. He has an appealing personality, will rub against you affectionately and his playfulness will make you smile. He is also one of those rare cats who is comfortable being picked up.
Shumai previously lived with a family with children and so would be suitable for any type of home, and with the correct introductions, he would also get on with other cats in the household. To keep him safe he needs to be an indoor cat and you would need to spend time brushing him every day to enhance his good looks - but don't worry he adores the attention!
With your love and care Shumai will be a treasured part of your family for many years to come.
Medical notes
Shumai has a heart murmur grade 4/6 but no heart disease. He requires no medications just regular monitoring.
