About Rocket
Just look at those little eyebrows... Rocket is a handsome boy! Spend 5 min with him, watch him zoom, strut, spin and rollover and you'll be as smitten with this little pocket Rocket as his foster mum is.
While Rocket is absolutely as cute as a button, smart and completely endearing he is also a complex soul.
He may act confident, but he really is just putting on a very believable show... that is until you get to know him and he lets you see his vulnerable side. You see Rockets life before he arrived into care is quite unknown, all we know is that at 9 years old he ended up in the pound and wasn't claimed. If Rocket could talk we think he would probably have a fair bit to say about what he has seen and experienced and as a result living with Rocket means taking things slowly, allowing him to gain confidence and protecting him from situations that are overwhelming for him.
Rocket will need a home with Adults Only and no children that visit often, he will also need to be the only animal in the home.
His ideal home will be quiet without too many comings and goings. He is not suited to visiting busy areas such as cafes or parks.
Rocket will need a family that can provide ongoing Behaviour Training and would be best in a home where his family have previous experience with similar dogs.
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
