** ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Owners experienced with timid dogs and/or eager to learn only, no full time workers, no apartments/townhouses, no children - older teens with dog experience okay. May live with another very calm and social male dog of similar size or smaller. Weekday meets only with the Behaviour Team between 10am-4:30pm. **
Gypsy is ready to find her new home!
Gypsy is a special little girl, looking for a specific home with experienced owners. Her new owners must be dedicated to improving her confidence and managing her quirks.
Unfortunately, Gypsy didn't get the correct socialisation at an early age, so has some generalised anxiety issues which cause her to be unsure in new environments, with new people, and boisterous dogs. With a dedicated owner, she will be able to make improvements (she loved her time in foster and began to flourish in her own ways, so we know she can do it!), however, she will need lifelong management and someone who is willing to adjust their lifestyle to meet her needs. She would be suited to someone who doesn't work fulltime - working from home, part time or retired is preferred. Gypsy loves taking things slow, wide open spaces and bouncing around, sniffing in the bush. Her favourite food is cheese, which she loves! She is not a dog that will be suitable for busy areas or dog parks, but enjoys quiet beaches and bush walks. Because of Gypsy's requirements, she will not be suited to living with children, but older teens with previous dog experience would be okay. She may also live with another very calm and appropriate male dog, of similar size or smaller, pending a meet. Due to Gypsy needing a special home, her potential adopters will require a meet with the Behaviour Team and potential adopters must be willing and able to come in for at least 2 visits before taking her home.
