About Barney
*In foster care in Camperdown, Sydney*
Get ready to fall head over heels for Barney - a beautiful senior beagle who's just adorable in every way!
This friendly, trusting fellow has an incredibly sweet nature, and a very beagle-like nose for adventure! He loves to explore any unusual smells out in the garden and during his daily walks.
Super-cuddly and loyal, Barney has soulful brown eyes and the world's softest, floppiest velvet ears. Because he doesn't tend to lick, jump or bark, he's basically the most easygoing companion ever!
Like all Maggie's pets, Barney is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'll be happiest with owners who have plenty of time to spend with me, and endless attention and cuddles to give! I crave human contact - from you or your friends, or even pats from strangers in the street!
I'll need access to a garden or safe outdoor space when you're not home so I can potter around, smelling all the smells, and use the toilet as needed.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm really healthy and active for my age! To help me to stay in tip-top shape, I'll need a daily walk of at least 20 minutes and regular garden time as well, ideally.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I love all humans, but would probably prefer to not live with very young children as I enjoy the quiet life these days :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I used to live as one of a bonded pair of beagles, so I'm definitely open to making friends with another old dog. I can't remember if I've ever met a cat. On the whole though, I definitely like people best!

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
