ABOUT DEEDLES
Deedles was born without eyes (Anophthalmia) and so has been blind from birth. As a result she can be quite timid and explores new situations with gentle bites so needs a quiet home without children under 12. She has lived with dogs but dogs in her new home would need to be cat friendly and able to give her plenty of space. Her new home must have at least one other friendly cat as she relies on them to feel safe and help her establish a routine in the home.
Her perfect home has a steady daily routine and someone around more often than not as she gets frightened if she thinks she is alone. Furniture should be kept in the same places as much as possible to avoid collisions. Any sudden drops need to be blocked for her safety. Her new owners should be patient with toileting accidents which may happen initially as she has to memorise where the litter box is and feel safe enough to get to it. Her foster carer can discuss options for assisting with her transition to a new home in this regard.
As she is quite timid she will take time to warm up to her new family but once she trusts you there will be constant purrs and kisses.
