About Betty Boop
Hi I’m Betty 🐾 and I’ve been through the mill. I’ve been desexed, had airway surgery and 3x leg surgeries. I’m finally in a good place and starting to enjoying my life! Able to breathe and run around a little.
A bit about me …. I’m teeny for a female British Bulldog - only 17kilos in fact. But my character makes up for my tiny size. I love to zoomie in the garden with my big brother. I love love love being touched, held, cuddled, smooshed, tickled, anything actually as long as I’m touching my human I’m happy that is my happy spot. If mum is working from home I love to sit next to her all day long. You going to the bathroom, I’m coming that’s how close I like to be to you.
I can be a little lazy and love to play dead if I don’t want to walk to bed - he he that way the hoomans will carry me to bed. I’m crate trained and will happily sleep in my crate all night. if it’s a hot day I love to chill in my crate in the air con and watch some doggy tv.
I have slept in my hoomans bed once or twice but I was the only one that slept as I snored sooooo loudly all night.
Things I don’t like …. ummmm I can get a little jealous, I am a girl after all, if my big brother is getting cuddles I will run over and head butt him out the way so I can get the pats. I do push a little and I’d be better suited to a household without little people as I don’t always use my manners and can be jumpy and knock little people over.
I can be nervous at first meeting new people, especially with men but if you let me approach you in my own time I’m fine and I’ll likely be your best friend within minutes, but if you come towards me I get a little frightened and bark and back away.
I walk great on my leash and I love my food.
My perfect forever would have someone home more often that not, an experienced bulldog owner is a must. No little peoples or cats I’ve taken to chasing them.
I love my big furry brother but I’d need a dog that was patient as I can be pushy and like all the attention.
I’m presently fostered near Newcastle and the rescue would prefer I stay locally so I can go back to their vet (Brunker Road Vet Centre) for check ups on my legs as needed.

Medical notes
I've had surgery to help me breathe better - nares widened and soft palate trimmed.
I also had surgery on both my back legs as my knees used to dislocate.
