About Aleka
Aleka is looking for a special home, someone committed to the ongoing exposures she will need to overcome the fears she sees in the world.
Someone kind, loving and patient with reassurance to help this girl show her true potential.
Aleka is a special girl with a beautiful soft brindle and white coat, she loves to play with other dogs and will certainly need a doggie friend or two to help her adapt to a new life and home. She is NOT suitable to be an only dog.
She is best suited to a female handler but can share her home with soft loving males. However she will need a home without kids, possibly teenagers or a home with just adults is best suited. She has seen some cats whilst in foster care and didn't pay too much attention to them so may suit a home with them with slow introductions.
Being a fearful girl she thrives off of routine and loves her blanket filled crate at night. So a home that can continue this sleeping arrangement until she becomes comfortable with the house and new environment is essential.
She will need secure fencing of 5ft and over and unfortunately isn't suitable to an acreage household so suburban living only please.
Aleka is around 3.5 years old and around the 30kg mark in size, roughly the size and height of a standard boxer. She is located in foster care in the lower hunter valley and we are hoping she can meet someone really soon. Let's find this beautiful girl a new journey.

Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
