About Lucy
This beautifully sweet old girl is searching for her retirement home. After losing her owner in very sad circumstances Lucy is now looking for somewhere new to call home.
A sweet girl, Lucy is friendly and just loves a pat and a belly rub. She gets along well with other friendly dogs, and would just love to find a place where she can spend her days comfortable and easy. Whilst she doesn’t have the expectation to go for a long walk every day, she can comfortably wander around a backyard and that’s enough exercise for her.
Miss Lucy will be adopted out up to date with her vaccination, tick, flea, Heartworm and worming treatments. She would be considered a medium sized dog and weighs in at 16kg.
Medical notes
Dear Lucy is definitely a senior citizen, and she does have some old age related health points that are important to note! She does have an amazing opportunity with the right family to continue to have a great quality of life in her senior years!
Lucy’s arthritic joints may require ongoing management, which can be either a monthly arthritis injection or anti inflammatory medications, or a combination of both. This will allow her joints to have lubrication to make it easy for her to move especially around these colder months.
Lucy’s eyesight and hearing are not what they once were, so a secure environment will be needed for her own safety. She can definitely still see and hear well enough for an older gal.
We would be under the assumption that at her age, Lucy’s muscle and fat mass are not 100% - this is shown by her slightly drawn appearance and some wrinkly baggy skin. This is something that can be managed well with a good quality diet, although there’s no expectation that this can fully return to normal.
