About Frankie
At 11 months old, Frankie is a giant goofball who is growing in to a handsome young pup. Already over the 40kg mark, he's destined for big things - in size and life! He loves his toys, is very food orientated and amazing with people.
Frankie has grown up around toddlers, kids and babies so is very used to being around families (rough play, getting squished, poked and hugged are all things he is very used to). Sweet and gentle natured, he just loves to be part of a family and have his people all to himself, so would suit a home where he can lap up all the attention on his own without another canine hogging it all!
Frankie knows all his basic commands such as come, sit, down, stay and even 'kiss' and 'hi-five' which are especially cute. He has been trained him to sit on his bed when food is being prepared or when visitors come, and he likes to sit there patiently when he thinks there's a potential treat coming his way. Sometimes he will just place one butt cheek or paw on his bed as if to say "see, I'm on my bed - ok treat?"
He loves toys and especially loves bringing them to you to show off. Balls and anything hard rubber that he can give a good chew are always his first pick. Most of his chewing phase is over, but he will occasionally bring in a stick from outside and shred it to pieces for fun, because #doglife.
He is an inside dog, so loves to chill with his humans, and he sleeps inside (he is a huge cushion fan, only naps on the cushiest side of the couch), but of course loves the outdoors too. Frankie especially loves going on bush walks where he often tries to take the biggest stick he can find. At home he mainly lounges in sunny spot in the grass and plays with his toys. Not really a digger or jumper or escape artist, Frankie loves being at home.
No need to spend big dollars on enrichments toys - Frankie is a huge fan of most things in the recycle bin! Anything he can chew and rip up works for him - plastic milk bottle, egg cartons, cereal boxes sealed up with snacks inside - but his absolute fav is toilet rolls. He somehow knows when the paper is about to run out and waits at the bathroom door until you give him the roll - it's hilarious!
Frankie would love a home with lots of fun and life, and with someone who will continue with his training so that he can be the 'goodest doggo' ever!
Frankie's adoption is an assisted adoption via the PetRescue Home2Home program.
