About Snow
Hello potential new family!
My name is Snow and I’m an 9 year old Maltese, although you could easily mistake me for a little white cloud
I may be middle aged but don’t let that fool you, I have the energy and personality of a pup less than half my age. I absolutely love getting outdoors, exploring the world and smelling everything that it has to offer (in the doses that I set ha ha ha ha)
I love to play with my foster fur brother – he’s similar size to me but isn’t as keen on playing so I usually put my puppy eyes at my foster mum and she takes me for a walk.
Oh yeah did I forget to say I loooooooooove going for a walk – at my speed – sometimes a bit of a run for me other times a stroll thanks!
Annnnnd if you ever want a partner to drive around with it – pick me!! I’m your man – I love nothing more than being the passenger and having the wind in my hair as you drive around.
Now (I’m sorry, but it’s important) for the serious stuff. I realise I have big, soulful puppy eyes, an adorable face and people fall in love with my devilish good looks at first sight, but my new family will need to be educated on grooming me. I can grow a nice, fluffy coat which makes me look super cute, but if you don’t maintain it, it can easily become matted. You may not even notice when you look at me or pat me, but if not well maintained, it will make my life very uncomfortable and even painful.
I have also had a past trauma in my life (the rescue was told I was hit by a car a few years ago) – the vets have checked me out and said that I have some possible arthritis in my legs so a nice warm bed in the house (or your bed) is a must.
I do enjoy the company of my hoomans so I would prefer someone home more often then not.
Because also of this old injury I will give a little growl if a child comes up behind me and touches my behind scaring me – I don’t mean too but I do. For this reason we don’t recommend that Snow is adopted to a home with children under the age of 7 who will try and pick him up regularly.
Okay, time for the last serious note. I am well house trained, but because I was sterilised later in life, and because I’m a boy, I of course, like to mark my territory. I didn’t wee on much in my foster mum’s home, but you should still be warned that I may, so if a little wee is going to upset you, I may not be the boy for you. With this in mind, I can definitely be encouraged to learn better habits. Every time I pee outside, giving me plenty of praise will give me the confidence to continue doing so.
Before you go, there are a couple more great bonuses about me. More you say? I know, how could I get any better? As much as I love playing and running around, when it’s time to relax I love curling up next to my hooman for a good snooze. I can use a dog door (although I still prefer you to open the door for me)
I'd love to be your new best friend!

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.

Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
