About Blainey
***KARRATHA ADOPTION ONLY****
""Homeless Blainey Went Bush""!! Wow, Karrathians, do we have a treat for you? A little Hollywood, famous superstar brindle dust action for you, guys. The story goes ... Miss Blainey had arrived from another town into the SAFE programme & promptly escaped. She went bush for 8 days at the back of Nickol West area. Such a little dog with such a big heart & soul, poor Blainey, is just looking for stability & safety, in a kind, gentle & loving new home.
The true Karrathian community spirit came out as members of the public tried their hardest to catch Blainey but it just made her run faster away! 8 days! People kept spotting her but no-one could catch her until her SAFE saviour, Mary, travelled to Karratha, bringing a canine friend that Blainey had been fostered with, to lure her out of the bush. Circling round the bush where Blainey was last sighted, Mary & another SAFE foster dog were on the hunt! It didn't take long for Blainey to catch a whiff of an old friend & she ""bolted straight over, crying"" to the dynamic duo. What a magical moment that would have been for all parties involved!!
Blainey is a small, mixed breed dog - she has been desexed, vaccinated & microchipped (thank goodness!) & could not be more ready to meet you. She has brindle colouring with the most innocent looking, sweet, light brown eyes & a white patch on her chest. You definitely have to meet this girl to feel the full effect of her Hollywood star quality. Her story made the newspaper!!
The name Blainey has celtic roots, there is even a Blainey coat of arms. The latin motto inscribed on the coat of arms translates to ""An honest mind is the most glorious possession"". You cannot get more earnest than a pup who runs away looking for love!!
Blainey is now SAFE & secure in a foster home with a beautiful human & canine foster family after a very eventful 8 days on the run. At first she was very shy and timid and wary of everything. However, after a couple of days of unconditional love & attention, she started to come out of her shell and show her beautiful, megastar personality. Now you wouldn't know it was the same little runaway dog. She has made herself right at home and claimed a lounge chair as her own and happily comes up for a cuddle and a pat with her tail wagging like its about to fly off.
Blainey is fully house trained and doesn't chew anything. She walks like a little lady on the lead and will make someone a very faithful little companion. She doesn't appear to have had much training, but she will happily shake your hand and is very well-mannered. Blainey would prefer a home where she had a similar sized male dog to play with or a new home where she can fly solo & be the sole receiver of all the love & devotion.
If you feel you could be the one to responsibly care for this stunning runaway & provide her with the continuity, stability & routine she is obviously craving, a local who could open up their heart & their home to this brindle beauty would be preferred. Flying or travelling anywhere else at this time, might prove too much just at this moment.
If you have seen Blainey's picture & story in the paper, don't hesitate, it's fate - ADOPT THIS INFAMOUS BRINDLE BEAUTY TODAY!!
