About Percy
Bork bork! Hi all, my name is Percy, I am a 4 and a half year old playful snoot who loves to have a zoomie or two (or three!) in my foster mum's backyard. I am an outgoing, active boy so would love someone who can keep up with me!
I adore tennis balls and will even play fetch with you! My other favourite toy is a squeaky blue pig, I'll make you laugh by tossing it in the air and catching it too! I am next level adorkable!
Because I have more beans to expend, I would do well with two walks a day. I'd even be keen to learn to run with someone! I'm still getting used to other dogs of all sizes (other than greyhounds), so you will need to continue my training. I’m told I can be a little full on, so no small dogs for me. I'm not a fan of cats either!
I'm a big goofball with bounce, and will need humans who are willing to continue to work with me on my manners and training. If you have love, patience, time and a good scritch behind the ear, I will say thank you with lots of affection and cuddles!
I'll just need twice daily eyedrops in both eyes, I have a thing called "Pannus" which is an eye condition that greyhounds sometimes get! I take these drops like a trooper and then I'm off exploring the yard and conducting a zoomie.
My hoomans are my world, and so I would prefer someone who works from home or part-time, so I can hang with them all day. No kids or teens for me, I am just too bouncy and uncoordinated.
I hope I can meet my forever family soon, I can't wait to show you my happiness lap around the backyard!

Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
Click 'Enquire about this pet' to contact us or email us at adoptions@greytgreys.org to express interest in the hound that you are looking at. We'll send you an EOI form, this must be returned before proceeding.
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $320.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
