On Hold
About Harold (& Hayley)
I guess it's just the way it is - despite what their parents are like one of their children is confident right from the start and yet in the same family there can also be a very shy one!
Just like children, kittens are individuals and here are two kittens who are a bit out of the ordinary. Although their mother, Harriet was very confident, Hayley and Harold are very shy. Harold is a little more confident but not much. We have been working with them at SAFE Haven and they have shown gradual improvement and will touch their noses to our fingers especially if food is involved.
If they go to a home where they are given time to relax, Harold and Hayley will gradually start to trust you but it will take some time and you must understand that you won't be able to pick them up and cuddle them straight away. They find comfort in each other's company and will be better off in a home with older children, a home where their new guardians will accept them for what they are and allow them to be just that. A family without preconceptions of what a cat should be or not be or how it should act would be ideal.
So if you've got a large heart and an accepting spirit these two young souls could find peace in your home. We know that they certainly have more developing to do and if they could do it in a loving environment where they have all they need, they will start to relax. In time they will show what's behind their shy facade and reveal the other parts of their personalities. The shy cats are worth it in the end and your bond with them is always extra special because of the time and effort you put into it.
If you think you would like to give these kitties a home we would love you to give us a call to discuss whether you are a match!
