Kova ~ 8mo Wolfhound x puppy (On trial 12/6/20)

Hey I’m Kova, an energetic 8 month old, female Wolfhound x!

I am an obedient girl who is toilet trained and even waits for permission to be granted before I can enter the house! I was very jumpy when I came into care but my foster carers have persisted with me and with the right rewards (food) I sit and stay on command! Compliance at home is much easier than in public but I am improving each day - one step at a time.

I like walks as there is so much to sniff but I can be a bit timid/ nervous out on walks as the outside world is strange. When I meet a new person or dog on a walk I can get excited and want to play, but if I get surprised by them I want to run the other way. Despite this I haven’t exhibited any negative behaviour towards any other dog or person and majority of my interactions have been very positive. I like toys that make crunchy sounds and I have started to enjoy fetch. I also like car rides as I get to stick my head out of the window and sniff everything we pass.

I sleep inside my foster carers home in the laundry on my bed - it’s comfy and quiet. I would definitely prefer being in the same room as you but I am a good girl and have proved that I can sleep on my own.

My ideal home would be with another dog that I can play with to grow my confidence. I think I would like that or if I didn’t have another dog to play my new owner needs to keep me entertained with enrichment toys! Either way I would like my new family to provide me with continued training and socialisation - I want to be a happy go lucky dog who can play with other dogs at the park and continue to have positive experiences.
