Hi, I’m Abigail and I’m looking for a new family to call my own.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I can be unsure around other dogs so perhaps being an only dog for now would be best but with lots of socialising with other dogs so I get grow in confidence around them.
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• I can be shy at first so I need a family who’ll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time

Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard for long periods of time
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children as they scare me

My best features:
• LOVE people
• Very playful
• I can sit on command
• Wiggle butt
• I love toys and balls in particular
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be strong on the lead – training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this
• Unsure in new situations – more socialising is needed in new situation and with other dogs.
• More training with basic obedience

ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET ABIGAIL BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
