About Lexi
Lexi is a medium sized fury love goddess. Not a worker, just a beautiful soul looking for a family to love for her forever. Lexi has a rural background but has fitted into foster care in the city just fine. She is obedient, smart and learns very fast how to wrap you around her fury paws.
In her time in foster care, Lexi has learned to trust humans, initiate play with other dogs, the joy of playing in every puddle of water she can find and what running flat out on the beach is like – she loves it. Lexi is just a young girl, she will do anything at all to please you, she is the perfect dog for someone who wants a great doggy companion to enrich their life.
Lexi is 100 percent house trained, her walking on lead is coming along and will need a bit of patience on her new owners part before she gets it perfect. She loves to sleep inside the house, happy with a bed in the kitchen or will happily go into a crate as she is crate trained. Lexi has been exposed to young children and she is amazing with them although she does not know how to not love all over them yet so little toddlers could get bowled over. Lexi is cautious but also gets super exited when she meets new humans, she just wants to flood you with love and get a few pats back.
Lexi has a good appetite, she quite often will leave a bit to come back and nibble on later, happy with dry food but show her a meaty bone and she does her happy dance. Lexi also has excellent recall at the park, the beach and out bushwalking, she absolutely loves outdoor activities.
Lexi is not tested with cats and did not show any aptitude to work with farm animals. She would love a brother to play with when nobody is home if she is to be left outside. If you can leave her inside, she is happy to be your one and only and will just rest waiting for your return.
Her ideal adopters will be a family who will include her in their life. An active retired person who wants a companion for walks and exercise. All she wants is to be loved, she will give you back tenfold on whatever you give her. This young dog is an absolute gem.
