About Angus
I was transferred to Lort Smith from a rural pound as they thought (correctly) that Lort Smith would be able to help me build my confidence before finding a family.
Initially I was very frightened of everything! But since being in foster care, I’ve grown in both size and confidence! I’m going to be a very large dog - I already weight 15kgs and I've still got lots of growing to do.
My foster home has taught me about the creature comforts of a home environment. I’ve loved playing with and learning from the other dogs in the home, so my request is that my new forever family have another confident medium to large breed dog for me to continue to learn from too!
I’ve been around cats as well, but my over the top play is a bit much for them. I’d be best suited in a home with no feline friends until I’ve matured a little bit.
My forever family must be patient with me while I continue to learn the ways of the world. I can startle easily at loud noise and things I haven’t experienced before so I need a calm confident human to encourage me and help me learn.
I'd prefer a home with no young children please as I find them a bit worrying, I also wouldn’t want to bowl them over while I play like a rambunctious pup.
I love cuddling on the couch, exploring the local parks, long walks on the beach and playing with toys. I’m very smart and am keen to do some obedience training so that I can grow into a well-mannered, gentle giant.
If you’ve got room in your heart and home for a giant bundle of puppy love who needs a bit of confidence building, then look no further, I could just be the puppy for you!
