About Louie
Time has come for us to start looking for Louie's forever home. Whoever takes dear Louie in needs to be committed to helping him loose a few more kilo's.
Louie can be a determined/headstrong lad. He is in foster care with other dogs but we don't think it is essential for him to have doggy company. We believe he was a mostly outdoor dog before coming to us. He is now mostly toilet trained and is crate trained. He is happy sleeping in a snug and warm crate at night.
We do not recommend Louie live with a cat as he thinks it is a huge joke to chase them. He is not aggressive just annoying to cats.
Louie has grade 4 dental disease and recently had a clean under anesthetic. Louie also has a small lump on his eye lid and a small papiilloma on his right front leg that needs to be monitored and may need removal in the future.
Louie is 7 years of age, so has lots of life left to live with the right family.
The home best suited for Louie:
🐩 other dogs -yes
🐈 cats - no
👩👧👧 children - no small children. Teenagers Yes.
👩🦳👨🦳 Older Couple - Yes
$$ - Financially stable and able to afford vet expenses going forward.
Louie goes to his new home flea and worm treated, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and recently had a dental clean. Louie's adoption fee is $300. Obviously we have invested significantly more than his adoption fee.

Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
