About Layla ~ 8mo BoxerXMastiffXDane (pend Trial 5/6/20)
Hi there! I’m Layla, an 8 month old Boxer x Mastiff x Dane puppy. I know what you’re thinking “oh she’s a big dog!’, I promise you it just means there is more of me to love! Also I’m not as big as a mastiff or Great Dane, I’m more of a boxer size.
My favourite pastime is watching TV on the sofa with my people. I am super affectionate and will always accept cuddles and love a chest scratch. Still being young I still make mistakes and sometimes chew the wrong thing, but I am learning what I can and cannot chew quickly. So lots of toys please! I especially love kongs filled with treats, these distract me and keep me busy and entertained. I need walks daily too please, even though I’m pretty mellow for my age and breed, I still have lots of energy I need to burn off.
I am such a sweet and sooky girl, with so much energy and love to give! I am super entertaining as my ears always get stuck inside out, I do cute head tilts a lot and I am bouncy when I run. I am always so happy to meet other playful dogs so if you have a dog, I will love them too. I would love a family who will include me in their daily life, take me for lots of walks and play with me. I am happy to watch TV and cuddle. I hope you don’t mind a big lap dog because I haven’t quite figured out what personal space is yet.
I am a big girl and would really benefit from continued training, I’m pretty smart! I already know sit, paw, on your bed, lay down, kisses and I wait for my food! I will also need a family that understands l need lots of exercise and mental stimulation so that I don’t get bored. Someone who has a bit of knowledge or experience with my breed would be awesome! It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time because I am still just a big puppy.
I am currently in foster care with 2 large male dogs, the house rabbit and some rats so I’m getting lots of socialisation. When my foster family go out, I cope very well but need toys and preferably a friend to play with as I do get bored. I would love to be welcomed inside when people are home and be allowed to be involved in my new family's life. I’m so well behaved in the house! If you’re busy I’m more than happy to set myself up on the sofa and have a nap, the sofa is my favourite place. You will need good fencing and no small gaps and a decent size yard for me to run around in because I love to run and do laps of the yard at top speed in bouncy boxer style.
I'm so excited to meet my forever family!
