About Rupert
Rupert and his sister Georgini had a rough start to life as stray kitties. They were terrified when they first arrived in their foster home. Rupert would hide all day and visibly shake if you picked him up but he has undergone a magnificent transition in six weeks.
He's still learning to be brave, but will now curl up near your feet or next to you on the couch. If you can get in a few pats then he realises that actually he quite likes that and please continue, letting you know with the biggest purr that will continue for ever if you manage to set it off. If you're lucky he'll roll over and expose his fluffy cream belly.
He absolutely adores other cats, especially his sister Georgini. They'd love to be adopted together so that they have each other for moral support. Although he has a sweet nature, he's probably best not suited for little children as he is still quite nervous, but would be ok around older children if they understood that he needs time to gradually come out of his shell and fully trust humans.
He can be won over by food (he goes crazy and forgets all about being scared), and especially likes bugs and laser pointers. Rupert would be best suited to a family who are willing to be patient and let him gradually reach his full potential.
Rupert and Georgini are located in East Melbourne. Please send an email for an expression of interest form.
