Muttley

Hi, I'm Muttley and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• An experienced dog home is a MUST due to my quirky nature

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs & livestock
• I'm unsure around children so a family with small children is not the home for me

My best features:
• LOVE people
• I can sit on command
• Generally quiet natured
• Playful
• Food motivated
• GREAT with other dogs
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this
• In my previous home I would sometimes nip at the back of peoples heals, I have not done this whilst at the shelter, however should the problem rise again - training and desensitization should help this.
• I have a strong prey drive and have a gripe against things with wheels such as bikes and wheelie bins - training and desensitization should help this.
• I can act quiet tough behind a fence - training, socializing and desensitization should help this.

ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET MUTTLEY BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
