About Bella
Hey there! My name is Bella and I am part of the 'B Litter'
We came into care after we were surrendered under the Last Litter Program. This means our mum is being desexed at no expense to the owner, to avoid any more accidental litters!
My mum is a purebred Maremma and my dad is unknown. Considering I weighed in at 7kg at 8 weeks old, it's safe to say my daddy is a BIG dog. Belle Vie & the vets are confident that dad is a large breed dog, possibly Mastiff or Bull Arab and it's estimated I will be about 35-45kg fully grown. If you're looking for a big pup & you have working breed experience - then keep reading as I may be the dog for you!
My foster mumma describes me as super sweet and lovable, protective and alert. I am great with other dogs - I always play nice and also respect their space when they want it. I am great with kids a big cuddle bear and no nasty playful nips. It took me a bit, but I no longer try and eat the cats - I am just very curious about them and now try to play. Remember though - my adopter will be responsible for ongoing training to ensure that kitties remain my friend!
I am a beautiful, kind and caring soul with alot of side sass. I like company and get upset when I can't see you or the dogs in my foster home. I have the Maremma trait of being very vocal! I am doing well with my toilet training & sleep inside at night. I have also learned to sit and wait for my food. I am also learning to 'wave' but apparently I pick and choose when I listen as I can be a little stubborn!
Now, there is no denying I am cute, but please know that the Maremma breed is not for everyone! Maremma dogs are extremely intelligent dogs - but we are also strong willed. I must have a dedicated owner that will be a firm leader & preferably has experience with working breeds. We are guardian dogs, and we need a job to do, so most definitely cannot be thrown into a yard with no purpose. I require a minimum 3000m2 yard to play in.
So what are you waiting for. If you think you can offer me a perfect home, message today for an application form!
Medical notes
I will be desexed at 10-12 weeks of age, and will be able to leave for my forever home after this.
Adoption details
To enquire about an animal available for adoption, please contact us via Facebook or send an email to bellevieanimalrescue@gmail.com. We will respond within 48 hours and send a questionnaire for you to complete.
Applications are not approved on a first in, best dressed basis, rather we will assess on your suitability. Should we believe that the animal you have applied for may not suit your home or lifestyle, we will work with you until we find your perfect match.
Upon approval of your application, we will organise a mutually convenient time and location to do the meet and greet. If the meet is successful, there will be an adoption contract to complete and sign and the full adoption amount is required unless previously organised with Belle Vie Animal Rescue. Your adoption pack will include a copy of the contract for you, all vet work and a microchip change of ownership form, which will be filled out and submitted by BVAR at the end of the adoption trial.
