Hi, I'm the gorgeous Pearl and I am in search of my forever family.

I am a super loveable, happy & fun little pocket rocket with loads of character.

I require a special home and the reason for this is because I am obsessed with ANYTHING that resembles a ball (the bigger, the bigger the obsession) - so much so that I become obsessive about them and its hard to break my focus. If there is a ball in sight I will stop at nothing to get it! I will require a family who will work on this with me and desensitize me from my obsession. I am able to have supervised playtime with balls but should not be left alone with them as I will not stop and will potentially hurt myself. Ideally a home without balls/triggers will make for a better version of myself.

If I can see something that I want or know where something is that I want I will bark, if you are also holding something that I want I can be quiet snatchy. So LOTS of training, impulse control and a confident and experienced owner is a must.

I AM NOT SUITED TO A HOME WITH KIDS OR OTHER PETS

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Any other pets - I would like you all to myself
• Children due to my bouncy nature and snatchy nature

My best features:
• LOVE people
• Life of the party and so much character
• Very playful
• I can sit on command
• I am food motivated
• Wiggle butt
• I am great in the car
• I am a great house dog and am mostly housetrained
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this

• I was great with other dogs when I first arrived at the shelter however being in a shelter my behavior toward them has since deteriorated. I am best suited as an only dog, a with a family who will allow me time to decompress and further my socialization. It is more than likely that I will never be able to be around other dogs again and my new owner must understand and be ok with this.
• Impulse control classes, further obedience training and a confident and experienced owner is a MUST!!!!
