Pearl

My name is Pearl and I'm a Jack Russell mix. I'm an intelligent, loving, protective, playful, cuddly, teensy tiny puppy. I've come from a challenging home situation so I can also be hesitant and timid towards new people that I don't know yet. However I am quick to accept affection and fall in love easily when shown kindness. I attach myself very quickly and can be defensive when approached until I am feeling comfortable in my surrounds.

I will have challenging behaviours which you will need to be prepared to train me out of.
Please be prepared to have patience and love for me as I learn not only how to 'dog' but also understand that I am just a puppy and also have puppy behaviours which you will gently have to teach me to manage. I also get very anxious when left alone.

My ideal home would be one where I am not left alone all day. I would be happy to be an only animal but, given time, I can also become part of a pack. I've been around cats and dogs and, whilst I do like to show dominance at first, I get comfortable with my new family over time. I am fine in a home that has older children (10+ because I can growl and air bite if I feel uncomfortable). I cannot be in the same home as a pet bird unless you'd like me to eat it for breakfast!

I absolutely love my walks! I bounce with happiness and I love to run beside you if that's something you do.

I love cuddles and nothing makes me happier than curling up next to my person. I am not the kind of dog that will sleep in the laundry - I want to be by your side always. Is that you? Will you be my furever home?
