About Bailey
Hey there! My name is Bailey and I am part of the 'B Litter'
We came into care after we were surrendered under the Last Litter Program. This means our mum is being desexed at no expense to the owner, to avoid any more accidental litters!
My mum is a purebred Maremma and my dad is unknown. Considering I weighed in at 7kg at 8 weeks old, it's safe to say my daddy is a BIG dog. Belle Vie & the vets are confident that dad is a large breed dog, possibly Mastiff or Bull Arab and it's estimated I will be about 35-45kg fully grown. If you're looking for a big pup & you have working breed experience - then keep reading as I may be the dog for you!
My foster mummy describes me as the most gentle & loving soul. I love my toys and food, so training is going well already since I've been in foster care - I already sit and wait for my food & I can shake/wave when my foster family says "shake"
I can be a little shy at first of new people, but it doesn't take me long to come around. I currently live with another dog - who I love so I would love a home with another gentle doggy around. I also live with cats, chickens & kids! I am good with everyone but remember - if you do get to take me home, you need to be responsible for my training and socialising to ensure I continue to love everyone as I grow big and strong.
I am a confident, placid and loving girl that loves to explore, dig, play and of course, please you!
Now, there is no denying I am cute, but please know that the Maremma breed is not for everyone! Maremma dogs are extremely intelligent dogs - but we are also strong willed. I must have a dedicated owner that will be a firm leader & preferably has experience with working breeds. We are guardian dogs, and we need a job to do, so most definitely cannot be thrown into a yard with no purpose. I require a minimum 3000m2 yard to play in.
So what are you waiting for. If you think you can offer me a perfect home, message today for an application form!
Medical notes
I will be desexed at 10-12 weeks of age, and will be able to leave for my forever home after this.
Adoption details
To enquire about an animal available for adoption, please contact us via Facebook or send an email to bellevieanimalrescue@gmail.com. We will respond within 48 hours and send a questionnaire for you to complete.
Applications are not approved on a first in, best dressed basis, rather we will assess on your suitability. Should we believe that the animal you have applied for may not suit your home or lifestyle, we will work with you until we find your perfect match.
Upon approval of your application, we will organise a mutually convenient time and location to do the meet and greet. If the meet is successful, there will be an adoption contract to complete and sign and the full adoption amount is required unless previously organised with Belle Vie Animal Rescue. Your adoption pack will include a copy of the contract for you, all vet work and a microchip change of ownership form, which will be filled out and submitted by BVAR at the end of the adoption trial.
