Tobi 🧸️

This sweet and affectionate boy is Tobi, our 14 week old Staffy x Doberman mix 💕

He is currently in care with his brother and foster family which includes older children/young adults. Tobi is a playful and lively pup who loves the company of both his humans and doggie friends. He's not one to jump up at you or bite at your hands, but when he gets over excited, he can get a little nippy although this is easily corrected. Tobi would do well in a home with or without another dog. He is an active pup and will need plenty of enrichment toys, exercise and mental stimulation to keep his mind busy.

Tobi is doing well with toilet training, now heading outside to do his business. This is something that will need to be continued in his new home. He gets along well with his brother, and loves a good game of Tug-o-war in the backyard. He responds well to his name, will sit for his food and is crate trained at night.

We would love to see Tobi find a home where he had the company and guidance of another dog and experienced dog owners, although would be fine as an only dog if he had the company of his humans around. He is very trainable and settled nicely into his foster home. He has the 'Puppy dog eyes' mastered and will win you over in a heartbeat!

At this stage, we think Tobi will be a medium dog when fully grown. He will need a medium to large size yard with height appropriate fencing, and a home where he will be treated as part of the family 👨‍👨‍👧‍👧🐕🐕.

As with all our pups, we strongly recommend enrolling in Puppy school. Tobi will need continued socialisation with other dogs during the puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that he grows up to be a well mannered and socialised boy.

We would love to help get you started with training, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.

Tobi has now had all his vet work done, and ready to head off to his forever home. He is located in Tuggerawong on the Central Coast NSW.
