About Mikado
Mikado is a joyful puppy; he has such a bright and bubbly personality which shines through at all hours of the day. He is super playful and affectionate with his foster carers, always loving to have a cuddle whenever he can. He absolutely loves playing with other dogs at the park and having a good game of chase. He occasionally gets over excited and can be too jumpy around little dogs so needs some reminding to play gently with little ones and impulse control training should be continued with him.
He has been having training sessions while in foster care to learn manners, and the training is going well, but definitely needs to be continued in his new home so that he can improve further. Mikado is going really well with toilet training, and does understand that he needs to take himself outside to go to the toilet and he waits in front of the door if he can't go out by himself. He also travels really well in the car so he’d be happy to go on trips with his new family!
We are looking for a family who are experienced in owning a dog. Mikado either needs a home with another friendly, playful dog or with someone who would be home with him, as he cannot be left alone for long periods. You would be committed to his his ongoing training, socialisation and happiness and have a nice comfy bed inside for night time and hopefully a spot on the lounge for a cuddle.
He is friendly with cats, but is very keen to play with them so would be okay to live with a dog savvy cat. His new family would need to continue his training as he is still learning. He is fine with children but preferably he would have a home with older children as he is still learning not to be so jumpy.
If you think you can offer this happy, loving boy a forever home, please complete the adoption enquiry form to register your interest.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
