About Ragnar
Meet Bachelor number 2: Ragnar
He is young, he is HUUUUGE, he is handsome, he is ready to mingle! He won't last long that's for sure. He is a bit of a misunderstood fellow, he seems to have missed the day of dog school that talked about how to appropriately meet other dogs. His first instinct it to pull and lunge (in excitement not aggression) towards the dog with MUCH excitement. When he is introduced properly, nice gradual parallel walking he is much more polite. His forever home would be one willing to help him learn manners when walking and approaching dogs ideally with the help of a professional trainer.
Ragnar hasn't lived with another dog but if he was to share his home, a medium - large mellow female dog would be the best companion for him. Alternatively he would be fine as the only child provided his humans include him in the family life. Due to his size and excitability he would be suited to a home with older kids, he generally has no interest in the small humans, only has eyes for adults.
Ragnar isn't much of a guard dog and quietly spends his days outside whilst his carers work. He likes to munch on branches and palm fronds but otherwise not very destructive. However, if his humans are home he prefers to be RIGHT by their side. He will require 6 foot fences as he is a BIIIG boy and loves peaking over the current 6 foot fence, any lower he may be tempted to go on an adventure.
Ragnar is not suited to a home with small dogs, cats or pocket pets, anything small could easily be hurt with his enthusiasm and giant paws.
So if you like pina coladas, and walks in the rain... If your not into yoga and have a comfy couch..... fill out the adoption application below:
