Adoption details
We would like to tell you a little bit about our fur babies' stories.
They arrive at the Mornington Community Animal Shelter.
The loving Community Animal Shelter Team spend around 28 days preparing them for their new forever home.
In this time, the shelter team have searched for the owner and exhausted all avenues. Potential owners are offered to view our impounded animals to confirm whether their pet is with us.
If the pet is not reunited, they then go on an excursion to the vet to be de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped and FIV (cats) tested.
They come back to their shelter team to rest after their big day at the vet.
They wait out their vaccination days, where they lounge around, eat lots of yummy food, have daily exercise, playtime and cuddles with the caring shelter team.
Our shelter team spend lots of time training and socialising our big doggy furbabies too.
Our shelter team continue to spend a lot of time with our furbabies to help them learn how to trust and love people.
Once they are settled in, their adoption profiles are advertised and spread far and wide to our community.
Then our furbabies wait to meet their new forever family.
Our shelter team have adoption application forms in which they can email to you. All the adoption forms are assessed accordingly and then the process begins of finding the best home suitable for furbabies. We love and care for our animals and want to make sure we have the best outcome for them.
