I'm Toby and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• Rides in the car
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• NO CATS
• I like both friendly male and female dogs, I love to rough & tumble so a dog with the same energy levels as me is a must!
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• I am a clever, young and active doggo - I would be great for dog training, trick training, agility etc.
• Secure Fencing
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• Being a social and playful pupper I would love to go to doggy daycare
• I can be shy at first around unfamiliar men so I need a family who will continue on with my training, socializing & desensitization.

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children as they may scare me
• Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs etc

My best features:
• LOVE my people, cuddles & sitting on your feet
• Housetrained and used to being allowed inside
• I love training, walks & playing with other dogs - even though I like to play rough I never get aggressive & if a dog yelps I get scared & worried.
• I know 'sit', 'shake hands', 'stay', 'come', 'lay down', 'wait', 'go to bed' and 'find your rope'(rope toy for a game of tug-o-war)
• I LOVE the car and will get in it any chance I get, even if I know its not going anywhere
• I love toys and tug-o-war
• I LOVE carrots, almost as much as bones and somedays more
• I love the lounge and will get up for snuggles if you let me but I know that beds are off limits and wont get up onto them.
• I walk well on lead
• My favorite game is 'find' where you scatter treats (my fav is dried fish) around the backyard and I have to find them all.
• I love puzzle toys and slow release feeders - they keep me entertained for hours.
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog. I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be a bit bouncy & mouthy when excited - training should help this. I have previously had training with bark busters which worked really well for me. I come with all my bark busters information & training equipment, it would be great if my new family could continue on with bark busters.
• I am fearful of unfamiliar men, especially if they lean over me - slow introductions, further training, socializing & desensitization as well as a committed & loving family is a must!
• I am head shy when I am not familiar with you - it is possible that I may have previously been mistreated - again slow introductions, further training, socializing & desensitization as well as a committed & loving family is a must!
• I am scared of people swearing and will run away & hide
• I do suffer from some anxiety and am currently on medication for this

**I have 2 bags of belongings & 2 beds to go with me when I am adopted**

ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET TOBY BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
