About Daisy
Hi Everyone,
My name is Daisy, and although I'm 8 years-old, I'm experiencing a lot of new things in life like playing with toys, going for walks and being loved by a family. And I am so happy! When I came to SCAR my coat was so badly matted I had to be completely shaved, my teeth were rotten and they all had to be removed and you think that would make me sad but I'm now able to dance around and eat without pain and constantly lick my foster mum. Life has never been better. I'm learning about toilet training and I get everything right about 90% of the time so I will need my new family to help me continue my training. I'm happy to go for short walks on the sidewalk (no open parks or noisy dog places for me at the moment) and my foster mum has even put me in a backpack for a longer walk so I can see the world which I love. The big thing if you take me home is I love to be near you, on your lap, and especially in your arms. It's my favorite place to sleep if you let me. Don't worry, at night I sleep in my bed! I'm still unsure of strangers and noises so I will need a quiet home where you are home more often then not and preferably not many people coming and going. I've enjoyed living with my doggy foster brother even though he's 36 kilos and I'm only 5 kilos, but I think another small dog companion would be better for me long term or I'd be more than happy to be the only dog in your life. No cats or children, sorry. So if you are looking for a sweet companion who is super loyal and who needs a loving, patient forever family, I will melt your heart the moment I'm in your arms.
**Due to the previous neglect that Daisy suffered we are looking for a quiet home with no children or children visiting often. Daisy would be best suited to a home that has experience with fearful dogs rescued from neglectful situations**
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
