About Effie
Effie is a stunningly beautiful girl and a very very clever puppy. She already knows how to walk on lead, sit, shake, drop, spin, fetch, is crate trained and can wait for her food. She is still learning her toilet training but is doing well with constant reminding. She has won the heart of her foster family with her cute and sometimes cheeky ways. She loves to play with toys and explore everything that moves or is chewable in her environment. She is a confident well rounded girl and has had many different exposures including lots of different noises, walking on lots of different surfaces and meeting lots of dogs and people.
Effie is great with other dogs, cats and kids, although can get a little nippy sometimes in play, so a home with older children would be more suitable. She loves to cuddle up with her humans on the couch and doesn’t mind a good tv show.
Effie is looking for a home that can offer lots of physical AND mental stimulation along with exciting adventures for a clever and curious little girl.
A condition of our adoption agreement is that all dogs adopted from Chally MUST be put through obedience training, if you cannot meet this commitment after covid please do not apply. All our dogs deserve the chance to be the very best they can be and we will choose homes that will ensure this is the case.
We have listed Effie and her siblings as Kelpie x although due to not knowing her history this is a guess however, we have conducted DNA testing and are awaiting results. Results will be provided to their new families when received. Our guess is there is a working/herding breed in there along with maybe staghound and perhaps a smidge of Shepherd. Reality is your guess might be as good as ours though, they will be med/large as adults. These puppies will need a large backyard at the minimum, please do not apply if you cannot provide this/
Adoption details
All forms (including foster and adoption) can be found at the following link:
http://www.challyanimalrescue.org.au/adopt.php
** Only applications submitted via this link will be considered **
Our adoption process is as follows:
1) Animal is listed on PetRescue
2) Applications are received
3) The application which we feel offers the best-suited home to the pet is contacted for first preference of a meet and greet to see if they 'click' with the animal.
We do not follow a first-in, first-served process and only consider applications completed via our online form.
Due the popularity of some dogs - and the fact that our rescue is run entirely by volunteers - we cannot guarantee that all unsuccessful applicants will be notified, however we will do our best.
