Hi, I'm Sage and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• I like both male and female dogs but can be dominant with some
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent with no holes or gaps)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation to keep my brain busy
• Lots of love and attention
• Happy to live with children
• I am very clever so will benefit from further training and would be great for doggy daycare, agility and nose work training.

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car

My best features:
• LOVE people
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• Very playful
• I can sit, wait and am very food motivated
• Wiggle butt
• I am responsive of my name
• I love toys
• I walk well on lead but will pull when excited - best walked in a harness.
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
• I do suffer from separation anxiety so am best suited to a family who have a lot of time to spend with me, another dog for company and lots to occupy me when you aren't home. As well as secure fencing as I have been known to escape when alone.

ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET SAGE BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
