About Jerry
Jerry is almost the most perfect non working Kelpie you will ever meet. He loves life and shows his happy nature with every smile and tail wag. Just a young teenager but already picking up on commands, walking like a champion on lead and his social skills with other dogs are coming together. Jerry is an ideal dog for a family who want to include their dog in their busy life.
Jerry is a go getter, a playful boy with dogs and people, he is a funny boy and as he is still very young he will keep you on your toes. For all the time you spend with him, you will be rewarded with waves of love and licks, sneaky licks are the bestest. He loves all dogs, medium, big or small. Jerry could easily cope on his own as long as he is well exercised and has something to amuse himself. But, he would also love a dog mate to play with and help with his dog training.
Jerry is great with his toilet training, walking on lead is amazing, loves his crate to sleep in and goes to bed without a problem. Jerry is learning all the basic commands and is a very quick learner. His foster mum is giving his social interaction with other dogs and some training everyday so it would be best if his family took him to training to see just how clever he really is. Jerry has been exposed to young children and he is amazing with them although he does not know he is a big fella so little toddlers could get bowled over. Jerry gets super exited when he is around all humans, big or small, probably a bit more training needed so he does not overload them with loves and sneaky licks.
Jerry has an excellent appetite, he loves his food and does very well to sit, waiting for his eat command. Jerry is crate trained so he does not disturb everyone by partying all night long. Jerry also has excellent recall at the park, the beach and out bushwalking, he absolutely loves outdoor activities. He still needs to learn about the dangers of cars so further training with commands is required.
Jerry is a super handsome loving boy and ready to come home to my forever family, If he is the boy for you, apply now.
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we may not respond to your enquiry if you do not complete the application form in full.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
***Please note - due to COVID19, Interstate adoptions have been suspended except for those between NSW and VIC, that do not cause extra unnecessary movement or socialisation of people. Meet & greets will not proceed as normal, and we have implemented protocols for hand over of dogs being adopted locally, to ensure the safety and protection of our adopters and our volunteers. We appreciate your understanding and working with us through this difficult time.
