About Rufus
Are you looking for a buddy? 10 year old Jack Russell "Rufus" here. If you are an anti-social butterfly in a quiet home with a backyard then you may be my person.
I am an indoor dog that is happy to follow you around on your day to day chores or whilst you do a spot of gardening. I love car rides, chasing birds in the yard, short walks and napping. I would prefer to be the only animal in your home and will need a house with Adults Only and no small children that visit often. My hearing is spot on for an old boy so loud noises, kiddy squeals and heavy traffic are a little scary.
I am a fan of ear rubs and would love to have a spot next to you on the couch but I don't enjoy being picked up or cuddled but soft gentle touch is ok. I can get in the car on my own so no worries....just open the door and I will sit in my spot for the whole trip.
I will steal your fluffy blankets and your pillows and love to wrap myself up like a burrito when I sleep.
It may take some time for us to get to know each other, as I am a little unsure of what I need to do sometimes, but it will be so worth it. So are you in?
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
