We are very concerned about the health of our volunteers and their families.
To protect them, we require you to read the following and answer honestly before any meet and greets can be organised.

Any of these symptoms, or any family member displaying, we ask you to wait before applying for a dog -
* Coughing or sneezing
* runny or blocked nose
* shortness of breath
* high temperature or fever
* sore throat
* aches or pains
* other flu like symptoms
If you have returned from overseas or been on a cruise anywhere in the world, please do not apply within 2 weeks of your return to Australia.
If you are in self isolation, please do not apply, you need to stay at home.
Thank you for valuing our carers health, knowing that a false declaration will endanger them and any future animals that we would be unable to help.

Big Boy is a timid but very loving lapdog who needs a gentle, caring home where his humans are around a lot. He loves other doggy playmates, but has not been tested with children or cats. Due to his timid nature, older, quiet children are recommended if there are any in the home. He is wary around adult males so will need a family who is patient and will work with him to earn his trust.
Despite his shyness Big Boy can be quite cheeky and adventurous around the house, he loves to jump up onto tables and benches to find out what is happening up there! A stern ‘no’ and he will get down straight away.
He is not perfectly toilet trained yet and needs some encouragement to go outside to do his business, but he will learn quickly.
He is extremely nervous on a lead so is not up for going for walks at this point, his new family will need to work with him to build his confidence slowly.
Generally Big Boy is most happy when he can sit quietly beside you (or even better on you!) and have a nap, or snuggle up next to another doggy friend. He is very affectionate and will be so happy to find a loving home.
