About Elsa
Sweet & surprising!
Female Domestic Short Hair Cat
**In foster care in Darlinghurst, Sydney***
Elsa has a sweet little face with a black nose and the softest velvety fur. Her meow is more like a little bird trilling - so endearing. The classic curious cat, she is keen to investigate any open drawers and all corners of her foster home. At times she is very active, zooming around the place, chasing a laser pointer or best of all, playing with her catnip mousie. When in the mousie zone, she will entertain with athletic leaps, throws, pirouettes and general craziness. After playtime is done, she enjoys sitting near the window and watching the world go by.
Having been rescued from the streets, Elsa has taken a while to get the hang of humans. She has made great progress over the last few months and continues to surprise each day.
Although not a lap cat, she loves to be close by most of the time. When she is in the mood for a patting session, she will let you know by stretching out on the floor near you. She will respond with much purring and rolling around, then let you know that she is off for some quiet time. While human companionship is still a work in progress, Elsa loves other cats. She has been determined to befriend the resident elderly cat. Being deferential and patient, she has won old aunty over. They will often share a basket when sleeping and tend to hang around together. Sadly the older cat isn’t generally up for Elsa’s invitations to play. It would be great to see Elsa end up in a forever home with a young playmate. While she is still sometimes wary of loud noises or sudden movements, she is getting more relaxed by the day. Elsa would be great addition to a mature household with or without another young cat.
Elsa is litter trained and has a good appetite, preferring canned wet or raw food.
