Bella ~ 12mo Mini Fox Terrier x (On Trial 5/5/20)

Bella is a lovely, happy 12 month old Fox Terrier X looking for her forever home. She is a beautiful looking dog who attracts admiring comments when out on a walk.

Bella is a very social dog and loves her morning and afternoon walks. She is also very eager to come with us on a run, when we take our son’s two Border Collies as well.

She is always very happy to meet new people and especially loves to meet other dogs, but sometimes she cannot control her excitement and barks at them with anticipation before we get to them. She is slowly learning how to approach other dogs in a more relaxed manner whilst out on a walk but will need further training in this regard. If she is meeting a dog in our yard, she is either happy to play and wrestle with gusto or submit if coming up against an older quieter dog. She loves to play with her toys either with us or on her own. Her favourite toys are those that squeak and balls are great to chase and retrieve.

Bella is learning to sit on command and is progressing well with lead training. She will sit without command for her dinner and is house trained to use a dog door. She happily sleeps in our laundry at night and uses a wee pad in there very occasionally. She is always pleased to see you and enjoys being at home with someone to follow around during the day and snuggle up to on the lounge at night.

I would recommend an active family who is willing to continue with her training, or one with kids (6 yrs and above), as she is still a puppy and gets very excited to greet you in the mornings. She would also benefit from having a companion dog.

Bella is in foster care in Valentine, NSW Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle and is not available for adoption interstate.

Bella’s adoption fee is $650. She is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for fleas and worms.
