About Kate
Meet Kate.
This gorgeous tabby girl of around three years of age has the most amazing silver markings and striking green eyes. Food is her favourite thing, and you can often find her head in a bowl cleaning up every last scrap.
She hasn’t always had it so easy. But she’s done now with her mum duties and is free to chill out and relax at her forever home with her loving family, where she can enjoy the peaceful life she deserves. Though a little bit shy with strangers, once she gets to know and trusts her people, she comes out of her shell and gains confidence. She is a lovely cat, so quiet and gentle. She also gets along with non-dominant cats and cat-friendly dogs.
Her adoption fee is just $180 dollars, which will help to cover all her vet work (desexed, wormed, vaccinated and microchipped) through Pound Rescue Mackay, this also includes a free health check within 2 weeks of adoption at Northern Beaches Vets. If you are interested or have any questions please PM her foster mum or Pound Rescue Mackay for a meet and greet.

***Special Update***
Because of the Coronavirus situation we are receiving an unprecedented number of enquiries. We are just a small group of people and are still working hard to get dogs and cats out of pounds and to safety as well as answer enquiries about animals we already have in care. Please be patient with us as we work through the enquiries. Thank you.
If you are interested in meeting one of our animals we would love to hear from you.
Please email us at poundrescue@yahoo.com with your phone number, a brief description of the family home you can offer - the number of adults and children in the home, other pets, how long the animal would be left on its own each day, whether your fencing is secure and so on. PLEASE REMEMBER TO INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER IN YOUR EMAIL TO US.
We try and answer all enquiries asap but you are welcome to follow up your email with a phone call to our foster carer co-ordinator Debra on 0412 698 117. We will put you in touch with the animal's foster carer.
If an animal is adopted inter-state we can help organise transport . The cost of transport is paid by the adopting family.
All our animals are desexed, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped. Our adoption fee covers our basic costs.
