About Robin. Melbourne
Robin is a calm, elegant girl, who really just loves being as close to her humans as possible. Just like Batman’s trusty sidekick, she’s always waiting in the shadows to accompany you where ever you go. Robin is thriving in the routine of her foster home and is always up for a walk. She currently enjoys two thirty minute walks a day, so much so that she will pop in to the bedroom and do the rounds to say ‘good morning, it’s time to go!’
She has learnt many things in her time in foster care, including that sleeping alone at night isn’t so bad, that stairs are not scary and exactly when it is time for breakfast and dinner (she hasn’t learnt that skulking around the kitchen doesn’t speed up the process).
Robin understands that she is not allowed on the couch in her foster home, but has shown a desire to cuddle. Beware her adorable, puppy dog eyes when she comes and rests her head on your lap. Her forever family will need to understand it will become her couch, immediately.
Robin reacts quite strongly to small dogs and cats, particularly when fluffy, but is not consistent in these responses. She will benefit from a forever human who is aware of these dogs on their walks and confident with the managing this behaviour on the lead.
Robin has not been cat tested. No cat or small dog homes please.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
