About Laker
Quick learner, energy, problem solver, great memory and seriously cute! All amazing qualities in the right hands!
Meet Laker!
This boy works life out pretty quickly. He’s friendly and loves his people and he will show that in sharp puppy nips! He is learning that licking is nicer, but those tiny blades do still make an appearance.
He can be independent on his terms, by taking himself off to his foster parents bed to sleep but leave him somewhere he didn’t choose, he will let you know about it. He is starting to find comfort in staying with other dogs. He is in no case too little for the games as he gives it as good as he gets it.
He has an amazing sense of smell and listens well of leash.
Dangerously spoilt at nights, he enjoys sleeping circled up on your pillow, getting up once to be taken out to the toilet. From the back door he runs out to the grass toilets in the same spot and quickly back inside. We have been slowly working on crate training which is he starting to learn to enjoy.
Today he even cocked his leg for a wee... record in my place for youngest pup to do so!
Being a cattle mix he will have high prey drive, and working mentality. We are looking for a home that understands and wants that. He will need to have some form of work or equivalent. Lots of socialising opportunities with people and dogs to ensure this is an area that stays positive.
He is smart and will pick up on any mistakes an owner will make. To apply please ensure this is what you’re looking for, your lifestyle and experience match what he needs. His strong personality and intelligence means that he is not an average family pet. If you’re that person who knows cattle dogs and is clear with expectations and has the lifestyle to compliment his needs, please fill out a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
